The Fund for VCFA is the fund that sustains Vermont College of Fine Arts for the future, supporting the highest needs of this institution. As the college’s highest fundraising priority, the Fund for VCFA supports such programs as MFA program operations, support for faculty, scholarships, facilities upgrades and improvements, and new program development. The Fund for VCFA 2013 supports the current fiscal year which ends June 30, 2013.
As a charitable non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, contributions to VCFA are fully tax deductible according to U.S. law.
Increased support for financial aid is an important need for Vermont College of Fine Arts. Currently, the College can provide aid to only a small percentage of students enrolling in our programs; the majority of that aid comes from the annual budget.
There are three ways to establish a scholarship at Vermont College of Fine Arts:
Mary Welz, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, will help you tailor scholarship selection criteria to reflect your goals. Some of our donors restrict their scholarship awards to students in specific programs. Many donors stipulate that financial need be a strong component; others will want to support scholarships that will bring more diversity to the college; some may want to restrict their scholarships to students from a specific region. There are many options available to you. Please contact Mary to learn how you can establish your own named scholarship fund.
