With an extensive background in urban redevelopment, Senior Vice President Bill Kaplan works to keep the college, campus and community focused on long term health and success. Bill has worked in the urban northeast in adaptive reuse of buildings and with the Trust for Public Land.
Such work includes conserving timberland for the Green and White National Forests, bike path projects and more. Since then he has worked in the community to help start the ski touring center at Morse Farm and served as Chair of the local school board. Bill lives in East Montpelier with Catherine and their children Ben and Frances.
Somerset Maugham once said, '"you know you are home when you get there." Over the years, thousands of artists and writers have come to call this campus on the hill their home.
