Liz Garton Scanlon is the author of numerous beloved books for young people, including the highly-acclaimed, Caldecott-honored picture book All the World, illustrated by Marla Frazee, and her debut novel for middle grade readers, The Great Good Summer

Other picture books include One Dark Bird, Kate, Who Tamed the Wind, Another Way to Climb a Tree, and Dear Substitute and Bob, Not Bob, both of which were co-written by Audrey Vernick. Her books have received numerous starred reviews, been featured in Junior Library Guild and Children’s Book of the Month Club, shown up on many best-of-year lists, and been otherwise critically and popularly recognized. Ms. Scanlon is also a frequent & popular presenter at schools, libraries and conferences. She lives with her family in Austin, Texas.
