Michael J. Hogan (Philadelphia, PA) has been a judge in the New Jersey Superior Court since 2000.

For seven years prior to his appointment to the bench, Hogan was Counsel to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. He also served as Vice Chair of the New Jersey Executive Commission on Ethical Standards. Hogan practiced law in Burlington, NJ, for more than twenty years, concentrating on environmental issues and representing governmental entities. He was Burlington County Counsel for many years. For nine years he served as a Commissioner on the New Jersey Pinelands Commission, an independent state entity charged with the management and preservation of the nearly one-million-acre Pinelands National Reserve. For the last several years Hogan has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Vermont Law School.
