Tobias Wolff selected Dewaine Farria’s novel, Revolutions of All Colors, as the winner of the 2019 Veterans Writing Award from Syracuse University Press. The novel is scheduled to be published by Syracuse in the fall of 2020.

In June 2018, Farria’s essay, “Reliving a Deadly Day at a UN Compound in Mogadishu,” was featured in the New York Times Magazine. The piece describes Farria’s experience working as a United Nations field security officer in Somalia in 2013.
